The Deuter ACT Lite 65 + 10 Pack is a lightweight multi day (trekking, hiking, backpacking) backpack that we like that's suitable for high gear capacity trips but remains light.

This pack has some nice features, which includes:

• The aircontact lite suspension has hollow foam which will create a pump effect that gets rid of unwanted warm air and draws in cool air to improve ventilation and cooling.
• 65 liter gear capacity and weighs 3 lbs. 15 oz (1.79 kilograms) which is lightweight for the capacity.
• Top lid pocket with front pocket and valuables pocket, 5 pockets in total. A sleeping bag compartment for easy storage.
• The adjustable Variquick shoulder harness makes getting the best fit quick and easy.
• The aluminum X-frame will give user flexibility for movement, and great weight transfer.

The Deuter Futura is a well equipped pack for day hikes or overnight and weekend backcountry trips that offers an array of features that are needed for maximum comfort.

Here are some of the features for those interested in knowing more:

• Top and front loaded (divided) main compartment to separate gear offers plenty of room ,and two side mesh pockets for your snacks and bottles of water.
• The pack should provide circulation of air between the pack and the user because of the Aircomfort suspension design.
• This backpack can be used with a hydration reservoir that can be bought separately because it features a reservoir pocket and drink tube if on the move rehydration is important to the wearer.

Pro's and Con's

Most consumer reviews and comments are just as positive as the ACT Lite 65 above. This pack also received a positive review by Outside magazine in the 2008 Summer Buyer's Guide.

Pro's

Many users enjoy the storage space this pack offers and found it very comfortable for a few days hiking or backpacking and felt their money was well spent. Most people agree this is a fully featured pack with great effort put into detail and give is mainly 5 out of 5 star ratings. It's priced at around $150.

We were unable to find any cons with these. If a fault exists it is likely to be with a consumer not choosing the right pack or a one off faulty one.
