It is waterproof, with an upper sole made of Nubuck leather and a nylon mesh lining that is designed to provide good looks as well as comfort. Mid soles are made from the EVA support system with the interior plate to support the feet.

The interior linings are manufactured from Gore-Tex and their purpose is to help keep the exterior water out of the Vasque hiking boots as you hike. The warmer moisture from your feet escapes via the nylon linings that wick the moisture out from the interior of the boot.

The outside soles are made from Vibram rubber which adds to the comfort and safety while climbing over rough terrain and slippery surfaces.
