Marmot Atom Sleeping Bag

Bought the Marmot Atom sleeping bag 2 years ago when I was in need of a lightweight sleeping bag that seemed to be designed well for temps down too about 40f.


I’ve been very happy with my Marmot sleeping bag....it performed as well as the reviews said that I read before buying it.


This is my summer bag that I wouldn’t be without. Most bags i have used in the summer I have found too warm but this for some reason keeps me pretty cool (unzipped) and warm enough in the morning if it is a bit chilly.


Its pretty lightweight and weighs 16oz (what its advertised at, never put it on scales!) which is light enough for my backpacking trips and packs well which is what i need/like.


I would not use the marmot atom sleeping bag under 40f because it is not intended to be used for 4 season use....I’m not a four season hiker so the summer temp rating was perfect.

I paid $260 for this bag and believe I got my monies worth. Its still working well with no defects after more than 15 camp outs.

I would recommend the Marmot atom bag to someone that wants a lightweight, well built, compact summer sleeping bag that’s up there with the best at the temp rating given.
