While Filey Brigg Caravan and Camping Park is run by the local authority it's still a great campsite in Filey to check out.

Filey Brigg campsite came in at second place to Crows Nest in 1st place after visiting many in the town.

About The Camping Park

The site is situated at the beginning of the country park, a short walk down to the beach at Filey Bay and 10 minutes walk from Filey Town making it an ideal place for those that like a walk or two.

Like most of the sites I visit along this coast line it offers fabulous cliff views which are a few minutes walk away. If you don't like to camp right next to a Cliff-side because of wind but love to be close to a beach and have great views, it's a perfect choice.

On Site

The camping park is not a Haven type family site offering the best in entertainment, however, it offers just enough to keep the kids happy, busy and still connected to the outdoors.

A big selling point for me being a solo camper and reviewer of these sites was the breakfast the café offers in the morning. Whilst I like camp cooking, a no cook or wash up sit and and eat job before hiking sets me up for the day.

The amenities are well looked after and help assist a camp out which includes 2 shower blocks, laundry room, shop and reception area for advice or help if needed. I found the staff was very friendly and helpful for advice needed.

The on site shop offers the basics to stock up on and of course the café with seating inside and outside is a much needed for many.

The caravan/tourer camping section with hook ups.

The toddlers playground on site will keep the kiddies occupied.

The second playground for the bigger kids.

Tent pitching area. The building to the right is the reception, washing up, and shop area.

The second shower block area the other end of the site closer to the tourers. it's not attractive from the outside but the inside is fine.

What's The Verdict?

I was pleasantly surprised to find I could pay per person for a pitch as I solo camp for the reviews on this site.

The scenery is beautiful, the beach is a few minutes walk away, the town is around 10 minutes walking distance and the café just tops it off nicely.

For families that want more of a holiday park this place will not suit you. A family that wants something a bit more basic, cheaper but close to the beach and a town it's a great choice.

There's nothing I can comment on that's negative about File Brigg Caravan and camping park, it's just a matter of it's the right camping site for you.
