Big Agnes King Solomon Sleeping Bag Double

by Gene
(Colorado, US)

The Big Agnes king solomon sleeping bag is a double sleeping bag thats rated for + 15. We (me and girlfriend) have used this sleeping bag about 8 times now and we love it. We did used to have seperate sleeping bags and wanted to try a double.

We decided to buy the Big agnes king soloman after some time of checking out reviews for bags and going through all the stores online to see which one would suit us best.

Our last choice was between the King soloman and the Big agnes cabin creek. The Soloman won over using Down materials, rather than synthetic. We do some hiking and camping within spring or late Autumn, so a kind of cold weather bag, but not quite below 0 was needed.

We have not been disapointed, the Soloman has been used in temperatures below 30 F and felt toasty, as they say. The weight is really good for our backpacking trips, i pack the sleeping bag whilst John (hubby) packs the tent, although he gives me the stakes.

The great thing about a double bag is the extra warmth and the snug feeling. It does cause us a little trouble though when the weather is very good, because Johns a hot sleeper and im a cold sleeper. Although, i wear something and he unzips the sleeping bag and were fine.

We have had no issues with the Big agnes king soloman, at all. We took some advice and bought a new compression sack, that really helped with packing.

Maybe the price was quite high , although well worth the money, long term.

We would recommend this to any couple needing a quailty double sleeping bag.

Weve had ours for 12 months and took it out 4 times. We took ages to decice whether to go with this sleeping bag, and we were not disapointed.

Well worth the investment.
